JOBS AND ECONOMY

BUILDING AN ECONOMY THAT WORKS FOR EVERYONE.

A thriving nation requires an economic model where hard work translates directly into personal prosperity. Sifuna’s presidential vision centres on transforming Kenya from an overtaxed, consumption-heavy state into a robust, production-driven powerhouse that creates sustainable wealth for all citizens.

Our Values

We believe in economic dignity, the power of local entrepreneurship, and a fair fiscal system. Government should act as an enabler of growth, and not an obstacle, by rewarding innovation, protecting worker rights, and ensuring that national prosperity is shared equitably.

The Problem

Our current economic landscape is defined by aggressive over-taxation that suffocates Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and drives away foreign investment. Millions of educated, skilled youth are locked out of the formal workforce, while a skyrocketing cost of living erodes the purchasing power of everyday households, trapping families in structural financial uncertainty.

Our Solution

As President, Sifuna will structurally reform the economy through a multi-pillar strategy:

  • Tax Rationalization: Streamline and reduce the tax burden on local businesses to stimulate private sector growth and lower production costs.

  • Industrialization and Manufacturing: Invest heavily in localized agro-processing and value-addition industries to create millions of dignified, sustainable manufacturing jobs.

  • Empowering the Digital and Creative Economy: Secure robust digital infrastructure and remove punitive barriers to allow youth to seamlessly trade in global digital and creative markets.

  • Accessible Capital: Introduce transparent, low-interest credit facilities that empower entrepreneurs without burying them under predatory debt cycles.

Key Takeaways
  • Lower Taxes: Easing the fiscal squeeze on small businesses and families to boost disposable income.

  • Job Creation: Shifting focus from temporary government programs to sustainable, high-value manufacturing and digital careers.

  • Production First Model: Prioritizing local value addition over the exportation of raw, unrefined products.
